U18s look to go one better than city rivals

After an enforced week off courtesy of the English weather, United’s U18s resume their league campaign tomorrow morning against a Huddersfield Town side who picked up an extremely creditable draw last weekend against reigning FA Youth Cup champions and FAPAL Group C winners Manchester City.

U18’s confirmed in third place

With just a handful of fixtures left to play in Academy Group C and only 8th place left to squabble over, United’s U18’s are confirmed as finishing in third place. The point secured in Newcastle left Crewe needing an 8-goal winning margin in their match at Derby to overhaul the young Reds, never a realistic ask and so it proved – a 4-0 victory the best they could manage.

The next football for the United Academy kids (barring participation in the upcoming reserve cup matches) will be in the BlueStars Youth Cup on April 30th/May 1st, where United are in a group with Villarreal, Partizan Belgrade, Grasshoppers Zurich and FC Basel. More on that nearer the time.
