Reserves in international action this week

It’s not just the first teamers who will be scattered across the globe this week on international duty – several of the reserve squad are away with their countries as well.
Jonny Evans is unsurprisingly in the Northern Ireland squad for the friendly with Hungary this Wednesday, while Darron Gibson has already been named in Giovanni Trappatoni’s starting lineup for the Republic of Ireland’s friendly against Poland. Somewhat further afield, Manucho and his Angolan team-mates face a trip to South America for a game against Venezuela on Thursday night.
At youth international level, we’ve got five players in action at U21 level and another three in the U19s, all playing tonight. Tom Heaton and Fraizer Campbell will be hoping to be named in Stuart Pearce’s starting lineup as England U21s take on their Czech Republic counterparts at Bramall Lane, while Corry Evans and Craig Cathcart could find themselves lining up opposite team-mate David Gray as Scotland and Northern Ireland U21s meet in Hamilton.
Meanwhile England U19s take on Germany at Colchester United’s catchily-named Weston Homes Community Stadium, with Ben Amos, Danny Drinkwater and Danny Welbeck all included in Brian Eastick’s squad.
