MSC Final details confirmed, LSC Final update

Posted by nickogs20 on May 8, 2008

The final of the 2007/08 Manchester Senior Cup will take place this coming Monday (May 12th) at Old Trafford, and Bolton Wanderers are the opposition after a penalty shoot-out win over Stockport County in their final group game. Kick-off is at 7.30pm and admission is priced £5 for adults and £2 for concessions – it’s a final chance for United fans to get down to OT this season (hopefully on the back of a league title win the previous day…) and support the Reds in their bid for a record 23rd MSC success, well worth a fiver of anyone’s money.

News on the Lancashire Senior Cup final is a bit more sketchy. Liverpool are now confirmed as the opposition, having overcome Accrington Stanley in the semi-finals, but with the season drawing to a close it has been impossible to schedule the fixture before the players head off for their summer holidays. The game should now take place as part of both clubs’ 08/09 pre-season programme – more news on that when it’s announced.
