Academy victorious in Spurs friendly

United’s Academy travelled to Tottenham’s Spurs Lodge training centre yesterday for a behind-closed-doors friendly and emerged with a 2-1 win – both goals coming from Matty James. No details on the United lineup other than mentions of James and Richard Eckersley in Tottenhamhotspur.com’s match report, although their pictures do show that Ben Amos, Danny Galbraith, Joe Dudgeon, Jimmy Derbyshire and Kenny Strickland all played some part in the game.
